Bulletin Entry Sunday #1

Welcome to Water Month!   Water is God’s good gift, and it is crucial to the survival of all living things.  It is precious, and limited.  The amount of water on Earth has never changed.  The water the dinosaurs drank millions of years ago is the same water that falls as rain today.* How might this reality affect the way we think about the water we consume and discard?

Bulletin Entry Sunday #2

This is the second week of Water Month.  We are concerned that water usage patterns and climate change are threatening the global water supply.  By 2050, one third of the people on Earth may lack a clean, secure source of water.* However, we believe there is hope for a water-secure world!  This month, the congregation is encouraged to adopt practices for conserving water and promoting water sustainability around the world.

Bulletin Entry Sunday #3

This is the third week of Water Month.  The average household spends as much as $500 per year on its water and sewer bill. By making just a few simple changes to use water more efficiently in our homes, we can save about $170 per year. If all U.S. households installed water-efficient appliances, the country would save more than 3 trillion gallons of water and more than $18 billion dollars per year!*
