Luther Crest also purchases local, grass fed beef and continues to incorporate a philosophy of local organic foods into the Food Service Program as much as possible. Luther Crest recently started an Organic Garden as an opportunity for summer campers to help with planting, tending and harvesting, as well as for use by the Food Service during the summer.

Luther Crest’s Corporation recently voted to approve financial support to make the Waterfront Area, including the beach, swimming area, docks, etc. erosion free and handicapped accessible. Using natural landscaping practices, this area will be re-made to reflect a much more environmentally sustainable philosophy.
