State Public Policy Offices

State Public Policy Offices represent the church in advocating at the state level on behalf of those without economic or political power. They work in partnership with local congregations, synods and social ministry organizations. State Public Policy Offices interpret the public policy positions and the advocacy priorities of the ELCA synods to the state legislature and state agencies. This direct advocacy is carried out in context of scripture and the ten ELCA social statements.
