Green Faith Climate Action Conference Calls

Our faith always matters.

On a few occasions, it’s a matter of the greatest importance. This fall is one of those times.

Experts agree that this December’s United Nations climate negotiations in Paris are our last real hope for protecting our one earth, our one human family from the harshest impacts of climate change.

We are playing with fire, and time is running out.

Join a conference call this Friday, Aug. 21 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. ET or August 28 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. ET to learn about key actions this fall that can help turn the tide at the U.N. climate talks.

This fall we’re urging people of all faiths to take part in three events:

  • On September 24, the eve of Pope Francis’ address to the United Nations, people of faith – in New York City and around the world - will LIGHT THE WAY, calling for a strong U.N. climate agreement and urging our leaders to commit to a Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty future.
  • On October 14, the People’s Climate Movement is holding a national day of climate action. Around the country, a diverse range of partners will organize local climate actions.
  • On the weekend of Nov. 29, as the Paris climate talks begin, we’re inviting faith communities around the world to pray for action from our leaders, and to join in in activities taking place globally.

I invite you to join in. Show our leaders that you care. What we do in the next four months will be our last chance to impact the U.N. climate talks.

Our faith always matters.

On a few occasions, it’s a matter of the greatest importance.  This fall is one of those times.

Please share this invitation with your friends and colleagues.

In faith,
