GreenFaith Certification Program for Lutheran Congregations Application Process and Deadline
The first deadline for applications to this program is December 1, 2012, with the program beginning in January 2013. A second application deadline of May 1 is offered each year. Please plan ahead in order to give yourself enough time to complete the application process.
The application process begins the steps needed to make the program a success. In brief, they include: · Fill out the application form · Create a Green Team of at least 5-6 members that reflects the diverse aspects of the life and mission of the congregation · Have the members of the Green Team sign the Green Team Commitment Form · Have the church council pass a resolution and clergy make a public spoken and written commitment to the Certification Program · Submit materials online (by December 1) · Pay the tuition fee within one month of acceptance For all relevant documents and detailed guidelines for the steps, go to this section of the GreenFaith website. http://greenfaith.org/programs/certification/application-steps-required. |
